■Outcome

1. Review of the outcome of the 3rd meeting
2. Promotion of legal timber trade
3. Multi-functional utilization of forest

6. Promotion of timber building

■Outcome
1. Held the 1st Working Group (WG) Meeting for Forestry Lexicon as a side meeting. The WG Meeting for Forestry Lexicon was initiated by TCS to standardize the usage of terminology on forestry among the three countries against the backdrop of having different usage of forestry terms in the newly developed area such as forest therapy.
2. Held CKJ sub-regional timber legality identification.
3. The three countries agreed that Japanese side will hold a CKJ symposium focus on MultiFunction Utilization of Forest in 2018, with the support by TCS.
4. The three countries agreed that the next Meeting will be hosted by Korea in 2018.

■Outcome
1. Exchanged in-depth discussions in various agenda, including current situation of forest and forestry; function of forest for disaster prevention; forest recreation, forest environmental education, forest health tourism, forest therapy; climate change and forest; and promotion of wood utilization.
2. Reaffirmed to further strengthen their cooperation in forestry by working out the detailed action plans in the relevant agenda.
3. TCS drafted the Record of Discussion of the Meeting.

1) Shared work plans of each organizations for the year of 2015
2) Shared the view on forest certification scheme
3) Discussed R&D cooperation on Desertification, Land Degradation and Drought (DLDD) in Northeast Asia, carbon emission trading system and REDD+ pilot project, and measures against mountain disasters for climate change response.
4) Introduced forest recreation, healing and education of each country and noted the importance of this area.
5) Discussed cooperation on international forest issues such as:
- Legalizing non legally binding instrument of United National Forum on Forest (UNFF)
- Forest Landscape Restoration Mechanism (FLRM) and Forest Ecosystem Restoration Initiative (FERI)
- Support for holding the 15th World Forestry Congress (WFC)
- Participation in exhibitions at the 6th International Wildland Fire Conference (IWFC) 2015
- Post-2015 UN sustainable development agenda
- APEC forest mechanism.
6) Signed the Minutes of the 2nd Trilateral Director General level Meeting.
7) TCS drafted the Record of Discussion of the Meeting.

■Outcome
1) Discussed extensive topics including forestry status quo and major policies; sustainable forest management, addressing climate change by forestry and bioenergy, and forest product trade; combatting land degradation and desertification.
2) Decided to establish a regular DG Level Meeting mechanism on trilateral forestry cooperation on a rotation once a year.
3) Decided to designate an official at director level in each forestry authority to be responsible for daily communication.
4) Agreed to explore the establishment of expert groups for technical support.
5) Agreed to develop a multi-year Action Plan based on the operation of the Mechanism.
6) Consented to explore trilateral projects including joint research, cooperative project, personal exchange, trilateral forum, workshop/seminar, outreach program and technical training.
