The 13th Tripartite Health Ministers’ Meeting was held online on December 11, 2020. The Meeting was headed by Minister MA Xiaowei, Minister of the National Health Commission of China, and participated by Minister TAMURA Norihisa of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan, Minister PARK Neung Hoo of the Ministry of Health and Welfare of the ROK and Dr. KASAI Takeshi of the World Health Organization West Pacific Regional Office (From the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS), Secretary General MICHIGAMI Hisashi participated and delivered an opening remarks.

The Meeting convened to discuss the following agendas: 1) sharing experience for responding to COVID-19, 2) the key role of ICT for responding to COVID-19, and 3) cooperation in COVID-19 diagnosis, treatment and vaccination. After the panel discussions regarding the agenda above by the three countries and WPRO, the Ministers adopted the Joint Statement of the Thirteenth Tripartite health Ministers’ Meeting (Video Conference). The next Meeting will be held in Japan in 2021.
