Mechanisms TEMM20 Directors General Meeting in Suzhou, China

On May 30th, 2018, the Directors General Meeting (DGM) of TEMM20 was held in Suzhou, China and its Working Level Meeting (WLM) was held on the previous day.
Following on the Pre-TEMM20 held in March 2018, the working level staff of the three environment ministries continued discussions on TEMM20 arrangement and related meeting documents including the Joint Communique. Other projects to connect Sustainable Development Goals and Tripartite Joint Action Plan on Environmental Cooperation were also discussed. The three parties welcomed TCS’ efforts to publish the TEMM20 Anniversary Brochure, the activity that TCS will support during the Youth Forum, as well as the future support to TEMM website.
The working level meeting results were reported at the DGM on the following day. The DGs and Deputy DGs welcomed the results and laid stress on continuous collaboration towards a successful TEMM20. They appreciated TCS’ contributions and reaffirmed on-going cooperation from the three parties on TEMM20 Anniversary Brochure which will be distributed at the Ministers Meeting. Deputy Secretary-General YAMAMOTO Yasushi made a remark to appreciate the three parties’ recognition and support, and looked forward to more opportunities to contribute to the mechanism.
