On July 19, 2024, TCS Secretary-General LEE Hee-sup paid a courtesy visit to Mr. TSUGE Yoshifumi, State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. 

State Minister Mr. TSUGE thanked TCS on behalf of the Japanese government for its dedicated efforts and activities in advancing trilateral cooperation, and expressed his gratitude to TCS for its preparation and support for the successful holding of the 9th Trilateral Summit, especially under difficult circumstances. He expressed his hope that the three countries will continue to work well together, as the Summit has gained important momentum in revitalizing trilateral cooperation, and said that the Japanese government will continue to fulfill its duties as the Chair of the Trilateral Summit. 

Secretary-General LEE paid a courtesy visit as TCS to the Japanese government, which will chair the next Trilateral Summit, and conveyed appreciation to State Minister TSUGE for taking time out of his busy schedule to meet with him. In addition, TCS expressed its deep gratitude to the Japanese government for its unwavering support, especially for the successful holding of the 9th Trilateral Summit, and for its active support and assistance in strengthening TCS's capabilities. TCS will continue to actively assist the governments of the three countries, especially the Japanese government, which is the chair of the next summit, to ensure that the agreements reached at the summit are faithfully implemented.
