On July 18th, TCS Secretary-General LEE Hee-sup paid a courtesy visit to Mr. KATORI Yoshinori, President of the Japan-Korea Cultural Foundation. 

During the meeting, Secretary-General LEE introduced the current status of trilateral cooperation and the role of TCS, and explained the major achievements and significance of the 9th Trilateral Summit. In particular, he noted that the Joint Declaration of the Summit designated 2025-2026 as the “Year of Cultural Exchange between China, Japan, and the ROK” , enriching cultural and human exchange among the three countries, and called on the Japan-Korea Cultural Exchange Fund to strengthen its role in contributing to cultural exchanges among the three countries. 

Mr. KATORI warmly welcomed Secretary-General LEE and while appreciating TCS's role in the cooperation and joint development of the three countries, he said that he was also thinking of cultural events to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and the ROK next year, and that he would make efforts to promote the cultural exchange between Japan and the ROK so that it also contributes to the promotion of cultural exchanges among the three countries .
