Others 7th Consultative Board Paid a Visit to President DU Zhanyuan of China International Communications Group 2023.10.26

On October 26, 2023, Secretary-General LEE Hee-sup, Deputy Secretary-General ZUSHI Shuji and YAN Liang (collectively as “7th Consultative Board”) of the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) paid a visit to Mr. DU Zhanyuan, President of China International Communications Group (CICG) in Beijing. 

President DU extended warm congratulations to the 7th TCS Board on their assumption of office in this September. He introduced CICG’s abundant history and functions, highlighting various projects hosted by CICG related to the Trilateral Cooperation and the ASEAN Plus Three Cooperation. Speaking highly of the significance of the Trilateral Cooperation in a context of regional integration and good neighborliness, he reiterated his commitments to deepen the cooperation between the two organizations. 

Highlighting the successful cooperation between TCS and CICG in publishing a special issue of China Report in commemorating the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the TCS in 2021, Secretary-General LEE extended sincere gratitude to President DU for CICG’s tremendous support in enhancing public profile of the Trilateral Cooperation and the TCS. He shared that, as the two institutes uphold similar aspirations to promote inclusiveness, mutual interests and multilateralism, there are much potential of cooperation for them to unleash. 

Both sides agreed to increase their engagements in each other’s events, and explored more cooperative opportunities in various areas including media, youth, culture and people-to-people exchanges.
