Others 7th Consultative Board Paid a Visit to President WANG Fan of China Foreign Affairs University

On October 26, 2023, Secretary-General LEE Hee-sup, Deputy Secretary-General ZUSHI Shuji and YAN Liang (collectively as “7th Consultative Board”) of the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) paid a visit to Mr. WANG Fan, President of China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU) in Beijing.
Recalling the two MOUs signed between TCS and CFAU, Secretary-General LEE thanked for the long-standing and successful partnership between TCS and CFAU, extending expectations to deepen their bilateral cooperation especially in such areas as trilateral youth exchanges and policy coordination. Speaking highly of CFAU’s role as the Chinese focal point of the Network of Trilateral Cooperation Think-tanks (NTCT) as well as the hub of various researching institutes on Trilateral Cooperation in China, he reiterated TCS’ continuous support to CFAU’s engagement in NTCT, so as to yield out policy recommendations on the future direction of the Trilateral Cooperation to the three government in early days.
President WANG Fan congratulated the 7th TCS Board on their successful assumption of office in recent time. Taking the just concluded Trilateral Youth Summit in this August as an example, he commended TCS’ endeavors in bringing together the younger generations of the three countries by holding various exchange projects. Highlighting the importance of face-to-face exchanges in improving mutual perceptions among the three countries, he shared that the two institutes could carry out more joint projects in areas of academia, youth and mass communications, so as to inject impetus to the development of a future-oriented trilateral relations that would bring more tangible benefits to the region.
