Others TCS Paid a Courtesy Visit to ASEAN Korea Center (AKC)

On January 21, the TCS Board paid courtesy visit to ASEAN Korea Center (AKC) and had a meeting with AKC Secretary General LEE Hyuk. The two sides shared information about the functions and projects of their respective organization, and exchanged views on the future direction of cooperation. AKC SG LEE introduced that the Center carries out more than 50 cooperative projects annually in various fields, including trade and investment, culture and tourism. In addition, he also highlighted on some of their key projects such as investment facilitation seminar organized at the request of ASEAN countries, tourism capacity building workshop, community based tourism program, several media related projects and the "ASEAN Week".
Expressing congratulations to the ROK government for its successful hosting of the ASEAN Korea Commemorative Summit and the 1st Mekong Korea Summit last year, TCS SG MICHIGAMI said he would like to work closely with the ASEAN Korea center in the future and learn from their rich experiences. He also introduced some of the key activities of the TCS, while suggesting that they explore the opportunities to mutually support and participate in each other’s programs.
