Others TCS Delegation Paid Courtesy Call to Chinese Ministries and Partners in Beijing, China 2019.11.27 ~ 2019.11.29

On November 27-29, 2019, the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) new board members headed by Secretary-General MICHIGAMI Hisashi paid a courtesy call to Chinese ministries and partners in Beijing. TCS Deputy Secretary-General CAO Jing and KANG Do Ho attended the meetings.


On November 27, TCS delegation met with Mr. ZHANG Xilong, Deputy Director-General of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, exchanged views and reaffirmed collaboration in people-to-people exchanges, culture and tourism cooperation of China, Japan and ROK.

TCS delegation also met with Mr. CHEN Dehai, Secretary-General of ASEAN-China Center. Both sides acknowledged the increasing significance of regional cooperation in the framework of ASEAN+3 and put stress on collaboration between the two organizations.

On November 28, TCS delegation met with Mr. GUO Jing, Director-General of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment. TCS expressed its congratulations on the success of the 21st Tripartite Environmental Minister’s Meeting. Both parties appreciated each other’s support and agreed to strengthen collaboration to promote trilateral environmental cooperation.

In the afternoon, TCS delegation also met with Ms. MA Hongtao, Counselor of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA), and had a fruitful discussion on trilateral agricultural cooperation and rural development. Both sides agreed to strengthen collaboration and MARA confirmed its support to TCS’ future endeavor in promoting trilateral agricultural and rural cooperation.

On November 29, TCS paid a visit to China Foreign Affairs University (CAFU) and met with Vice President GAO Fei as well as the scholars from the University. The scholars introduced their research activities and work plans on trilateral cooperation, especially Network of Trilateral Cooperation Think-Tanks and Trilateral Youth Summit. Both TCS and CFAU expressed commitment to provide mutual support and enhance collaboration in the future.
