Others TCS Delegation paid a visit to Jilin Province of China

The Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) delegation headed by Secretary-general LEE Jong-heon paid a visit to the Jilin Province of China from July 9th to 13th. The delegation attended series of meetings and visits hosted by Jilin Provincial Government, Jilin University, and Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture Government to discuss substantial agendas of trilateral cooperation in the field of local government exchange, economic cooperation and people-to-people exchange. The outreach visit aimed at deepening the cooperative relationship with Jilin Province and expanding the trilateral projects among local governments of the three countries. Through the visit, the TCS delegation raised public awareness of TCS’s role and activities, and gained a general picture of cooperation achievements made by Jilin Province with Japan and Korea in wide-ranging areas of economy, people-to-people exchange and education. The representatives from various organizations of Jilin Provincial Government, Jilin University, and Yanbian Prefecture Government expressed sincere expectations on collaboration with the TCS in many of their trilateral activities and events. The TCS delegation was impressed by the Jilin Province’s well-organized plans and strategies for future development and trilateral cooperation and agreed to further enlarge the cooperation on local government exchanges, economic cooperation, people-to-people exchanges and education cooperation including Campus Asia project.       |
