Seminar & Forum TCS Co-organized the Trilateral Expert Meeting on Disaster Loss Data and DRR Technology Sharing

Trilateral Expert Meeting on Disaster Loss Data and DRR Technology Sharing, a three day workshop, was held from 26 to 28 March 2014 in Jeju, the ROK. The Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) co-organized the workshop with National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Korea, United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), and United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR). The workshop brought together experts from disaster management organizations, research institutes, and academia in China, Japan and the ROK and other countries.
More than 40 participants including a number of high level experts, scholars and policymakers from Asia and Europe made presentations and serve as panelists relating to the main and sub themes of the workshop. The TCS also gave a presentation on introduction of the TCS as well as the 2nd Trilateral Table Top Exercise (TTX) which was held on 6 March, 2014, in Japan to share its experience. The presentation got attention and interest from the audiences.
