Secretary-General LE Luong Minh of the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta, Indonesia, visited the TCS office and had informal talks with TCS Secretary-General IWATANI Shigeo on October 8, 2014.
Highlighting the recent developments made in the cooperation among Plus Three countries, Secretary-General IWATANI suggested that the two Secretariats strengthen their partnership through mutual visits and joint projects, with a long-term vision for regional cooperation at large. Secretary-General LE concurred with Secretary-General IWATANI by giving support to the TCS’ participation in the upcoming APT Summit while expressing his anticipation that more important roles can be played by the TCS in this complex regional architecture. The two Secretary Generals also exchanged their opinions on the ways to promote cooperation toward peace and security in the region.
