Others TCS Board Members Paid A Courtesy Visit to Ministry of Civil Affairs of China

On November 24, 2015, TCS board members visited the Ministry of Civil Affairs (MCA) of China and exchanged views on the trilateral cooperation on disaster management and social welfare with Vice Minister DOU Yupei.
Secretary-General YANG Houlan expressed sincere appreciation to MCA of China for the continued support for TCS’ work in promoting trilateral cooperation on disaster management. Acknowledging the achievement of the 4th Trilateral Ministerial Meeting on Disaster Management, SG Yang assured that TCS stands ready to follow up the Ministers’ Meeting by continuing traditional projects such as the Trilateral Table Top Exercise (TTX) and exploring new projects such as training programs or joint visits to post-disaster reconstruction areas.
Vice Minister DOU spoke highly of TCS’ role in strengthening disaster prevention and relief capabilities of the three countries. He expressed his hope that, in addition to cooperation on disaster management, the three countries can explore the possibility of establishing a new trilateral mechanism on social welfare.
