Others APCEIU Director Dr. CHUNG Utak visited TCS

On March 15, 2016, Director of Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU) Dr. CHUNG Utak and Gangwon Province Supervisor Mr. KWON Oh-woo visited TCS. TCS board members welcomed the APCEIU delegation, and Secretary-General YANG Houlan congratulated Dr. Chung on continuing his second term in office.
During the meeting, the two parties agreed on the significant role of education for furthering cooperation within East Asia and in the broader ASEAN community. Dr. Chung and Mr. Kwon introduced plans for cooperative projects between APCEIU and Gangwon Province Office of Education, including the CJK university student dialogue on promoting Global Citizenship Education in East Asia and secondary school student exchange program to be hosted in line with ‘Danoje’ festival in Gangneung City. In response, SG Yang shared information about trilateral education programs such as the TCS Young Ambassador Program (YAP) and CAMPUS Asia Program.
Dr. Chung expressed APCEIU’s interest in contributing to CJK education cooperation, requesting support and advice from TCS in this regard. SG Yang appreciated APCEIU’s commitment to trilateral cooperation, and expressed the willingness to jointly explore future areas of cooperation.
