Seoul, June 28, 2024 – The Korea Launch of the State of World Population Report 2024 Seminar was held on June 28th at the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) Conference Hall. The event was co-hosted by the ROK Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Korean Parliamentary League on Children, Population, and Environment, and the UNFPA Seoul Representational Office. The program was supported by the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS). 

During the Opening Session, TCS Secretary-General Lee Hee-sup delivered a congratulatory remarks, highlighting the importance of regional collaboration in addressing demographic challenges and promoting sustainable development. SG Lee underscored the outcomes of the recent Trilateral Summit between China, Japan, and Korea, which emphasized six key points, including public health, and addressing aging societies. He emphasized the necessity of improving sexual and reproductive health services and bridging gender disparities, aligning these efforts with the broader public health and social stability goals of the region. 

The seminar, themed "Interwoven Lives, Threads of Hope: Ending Inequalities in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights," convened experts and policymakers to discuss strategies for enhancing sexual and reproductive health services, addressing gender disparities, and managing demographic shifts.
