The 6th Trilateral ICT Ministerial Meeting was held in Tokyo on 28 May 2018. H.E. NODA Seiko, Minister for Internal Affairs and Communication, H.E. MIAO Wei, Minister of Industry and Information Technology, H.E. YOU Young Min, Minister, Ministry of Science and ICT attended. The meeting was resumed after 7 years of suspension since the 5th Ministerial Meeting held in 2011, and the three Ministers underlined the significance of ICT cooperation in the face of common challenges such as ageing society, 4th industrial revolution and the consecutive Olympic Games held in Korea, Japan and China.
TCS delegation headed by DSG YAMAMOTO Yasushi attended the Meeting for the first time. In his congratulatory remarks, DSG YAMAMOTO referred to the recent Summit outcomes where the three leaders agreed to enhance trilateral cooperation in the ICT sector and stated that TCS stands ready to provide support.
Following the Ministerial Meeting, Exchange Meeting of China-Japan-Korea ICT Private Enterprises that features 5G, Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI) and 8K was held. Company representatives presented their progressive policies and innovations and actively discussed enhancement of cooperative business development among the three countries.
