The 7th Trilateral Foreign Ministers’ Meeting was convened on March 21, 2015 in Seoul, ROK. The meeting was presided by H.E. Mr. YUN Byung-se, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Korea, and attended by H.E. Mr. KISHIDA Fumio, Foreign Minister of Japan, and H.E. Mr. WANG Yi, Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of China. 

At the meeting, the three Foreign Ministers had in-depth discussions on various issues including the current status and future direction of the trilateral cooperation as well as regional and global issues of common concern. The three Ministers shared the view to continue and develop the trilateral cooperation as an important framework of cooperation for peace, stability and prosperity in Northeast Asia. 

Mr. IWATANI Shigeo, Secretary-General of the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) also participated in the meeting and gave a report on the progress of trilateral cooperation and TCS’ work over the past years. 

The three Ministers appreciated TCS’ effort to promote the trilateral cooperation and welcomed the release of the “Matrix of Major Events for Trilateral Cooperation in 2015” on TCS’ website. 

A joint press conference was held after the meeting, where the three Ministers reaffirmed their commitments to push forward the healthy and sustainable development of the trilateral cooperation.
