Others SG IWATANI Shigeo Outreach Visit to ASEAN

TCS Secretary-General Amb. Iwatani Shigeo paid a courtesy visit to
Indonesia and Myanmar from January 20th to 25th, 2014. During
the visit, Amb. Iwatani met Secretary-General Le Luong Minh of ASEAN,
Secretary-General Budi Bowoleksono of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of
Indonesia and Foreign Minister U Wunna Maung Lwin of Myanmar.
This visit provided an opportunity to strengthen cooperative
linkages between Trilateral Cooperation and ASEAN within the APT framework. The
discussions were also assessed as having contributed to developing in concrete and
tangible ways the vast potential for mutual cooperation between the two
Secretariats, including the TCS’s participation in the APT cooperation and
signing a collaborative agreement (MOU).
