Others 7th Meeting among the Secretaries General of ASEAN-China Centre, ASEAN-Japan Centre and ASEAN-Korea Centre

On April 19, 2016, Secretary-General YANG Houlan attended the 7th Meeting among the Secretaries General of ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), ASEAN-Japan Centre (AJC) and ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC), held at the ASEAN-Japan Centre in Tokyo, Japan. SG Yang exchanged views with SG of ACC Ambassador YANG Xiuping, SG of AJC Mr. FUJITA Masataka, and SG of AKC Ambassador KIM Young-sun, on possible future cooperation towards the vision of East Asia cooperation.
SG Yang expressed his gratitude to the three Centres for extending invitation to the TCS. After introducing some TCS projects in the socio-cultural field as well as TCS’ past engagement with the ASEAN side, SG Yang presented TCS’ ideas for developing more concrete cooperation with the Centres in the areas of youth exchange and journalist exchange. In response to the proposal, the four Secretaries General discussed how the TCS can constructively contribute to the tripartite cooperation among the three Centres. The TCS and the three Centres also designated the respective focal points of contact in order to continue smooth communication in the future.
