1st Trilateral Young Rural Leader’s Exchange Program (TREP) Recap Video

On August 10-14, 2023, the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) and Foreign Affairs Office of Anhui Provincial People's Government co-hosted the 1st Trilateral Young Rural Leader’s Exchange Program (TREP) in Huangshan. 

 

In the closing ceremony, Ms. LIU Xiangzhou, Deputy Director of the Asia Africa Division of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China mentioned agriculture is a comprehensive sector, which combines culture, nature, and philosophy. We should engage not only farmer but different sectors for its development like the government and private sector. The role of the ministry is to make good policy and platform for young rural leader. 

 

Mr. KUDO Tatsuro from Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan mentioned gratitude for Anhui Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and Huangshan Municipal People's Government and TCS for inviting Japanese delegation to this program. 

 

Mr. SEO Myungchul, Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs of the ROK, express deep appreciation to Huangshan and TCS for organizing the event. Korea, Japan, and China are sharing lots of common in agricultural sector. He indicated that he would report to the ministry regarding the outcome of this program with suggestions of making a better policy for young rural leader and hope we can have the more meaningful 2nd TREP either in Japan or Korea. 

 

Mr. ZHANG Yaqiang, Vice Mayor of Huangshan Municipal People's Government thanked TCS for holding the first TREP in Huangshan. This is the beginning to get to know the beauty of the Huangshan. It would be great to come back here again with family or friends. We share not only friendship through this program, but we can also increase trade and exchange via Rural Revitalization and New rural construction. 

 

During the closing ceremony, representatives from each country gave their impressions underlining the importance of the communication among new rural leaders and the significance of this program.and hoping to keep in touch with all the participants and succeed in their career. 

 

Many site visits were also made during this program. Participants were able to know how Chinese smart-agriculture, tea culture and tourism industry. They shared common difficulties and exchanged the knowhow of their agriculture.
