Others TCS Secretary-General Meets CNIPA Senior Official Ahead of 2025 Trilateral IP Startup Camp 2025-11-04

On 4 November 2025, Secretary-General LEE Hee-sup of the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) met with Ms. SHENG Li, Director General of the Department of International Cooperation of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), at the China Intellectual Property Training Center (CIPTC). Mr. LIU Jian, Dean of CIPTC, also attended the meeting. 

DG SHENG highlighted vitality and resilience of trilateral IP cooperation and the importance of the 10-year Vision for Trilateral IP Cooperation adopted by three countries in guiding the future collaboration in IP-related fields. She noted that innovation has become a central area of shared interest and recognized the Trilateral IP Startup Camp (TIPSC) as a constructive new platform that draws on the three countries’ complementary strengths. She commended the TCS’s proactive coordination and SG LEE’s leadership in facilitating the fruition of the 1st TIPSC, and wished the program success. 

Dean LIU introduced CIPTC’s history, functions, and cooperation projects, expressing appreciation for jointly co-organizing the 2025 TIPSC. 

SG LEE expressed gratitude for CNIPA and CIPTC’s continued support, noting that the TRIPO Heads Meeting remains a longstanding pillar of trilateral IP cooperation. He highlighted the growing global focus on AI, reflected in the recent APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Gyeongju and the next APEC to be held in Shenzhen. He noted that this year’s Startup Camp theme on AI and emerging technologies is timely and expressed hope that the program will further advance trilateral cooperation and encourage practical collaboration among young innovators.
