On September 25th, 2025, Secretary-General LEE Hee-sup of the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) met with The Japan-Korea Cultural Foundation Chairman KATORI Yoshinori and Executive Managing Director and Secretary-General OSA Hisamitsu.
During the meeting, Chairman KATORI and Secretary-General OSA emphasized the importance of TCS’s role in promoting trilateral cooperation in an era of global challenges and referred to initiatives such as the International Forum for Trilateral Cooperation (IFTC), the Trilateral Common Vocabulary publications, and CAMPUS Asia follow-up projects.
Secretary-General LEE noted that the convening of the 9th Trilateral Summit in 2024 after four and a half years from the previous Summit reflected the three governments’ commitment to trilateral cooperation. He also provided an overview of TCS’s establishment and shared perspectives on its future direction.
Both sides shared their efforts in promoting youth and cultural exchange and affirmed their commitment to advancing peace, stability, and cooperation in Northeast Asia.
