The 14th China-Japan-ROK Forum for Communicable Disease Control and Prevention was held from October 29 to 30, 2020. The forum was hosted by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA), and the participants were from the centers for disease control and prevention from the three countries (Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention: China CDC, National Institute of Infectious Diseases: NIID, and KDCA). The 14th Forum was presided by Director General GAO Fu (China CDC), Director General WAKITA Takaji (Japan NIID), and Commissioner JEONG Eun Kyeong (ROK KDCA). Director of Socio-Cultural Affairs, KIM Minjeong participated as an observer. 

The Forum is held annually since 2007, to discuss agendas regarding various infectious disease and relevant response and control measures among experts from China CDC, NIID and KDCA. The 14th Forum covered the topics of “COVID-19 Response” and the “Current status and diagnostic testing strategy for influenza and COVID-19” over two days. Representatives from each country’s infectious disease control institutions delivered presentations, followed by active Q&A discussions.
