The Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) hosted a student delegation of China Japan ROK Trilateral Cooperation UCC (User Created Contents) Competition organized by the ROK’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. TCS Secretary General MICHIGAMI Hisashi, Deputy Secretary Generals CAO Jing and KANG Do ho attended the event. Over 30 undergraduate and secondary school students from different ROK education institutions participated in the event.

In her presentation, Deputy Secretary General CAO Jing briefed the students with the history of the trilateral cooperation, the rationale of the establishment of the TCS and TCS’s major programs engaging students and young professionals, in which she particularly highlighted the touching stories of mutual support and help among the three governments and peoples in jointly combating the COVID 19 pandemic. Addressing the youth, she emphasized that the trilateral cooperation is directly relevant to all three peoples especially young generations, as the closer trilateral cooperation in trade, culture and so on would bring tangible education and career opportunities and resources to the youth. She concluded that the TCS would work even harder to promote the peace and common prosperity of the region and spare no effort to bring benefits to people.

The presentation was followed by TCS staff’s experience sharing and a lively Q&A session in which TCS staff and students discussed about the prospect of trilateral cooperation and the programs of the TCS.

The China Japan ROK Trilateral Co operation UCC Competition was launched by the ROK’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2017, with an aim to increasing public interest in trilateral cooperation among China, Japan and ROK and promoting mutual understanding and friendship.
