On December 28, 2015, the TCS Secretary-General YANG Houlan had a meeting with HUANG Dezhi, Vice Director-General of Department of Commerce, Fujian Province, China. The meeting involved Fujian’s economic cooperation with Japan and ROK, as well as future direction of TCS-Fujian cooperation.
SG YANG briefly introduced the recent achievements of trilateral cooperation in fields of economics, and emphasized that increasing economic cooperation with Japan and ROK would help Fujian to reorganize its industrial structure to the advanced level. He suggested that Fujian should build more platforms with Japan and ROK in order to promote Fujian and thus attract more investments from those countries. SG YANG also affirmed that TCS would help Fujian as a mediator, and welcome the Department to participate in the TCS economic projects for local governments.
Vice DG HUANG elaborated on Fujian’s economic cooperation with Japan and China, including trade, investment, tourism and movement of people, as well as the current national project of China (Fujian) Pilot FTZ. He said that the Department wants to expand cooperation with TCS, expecting TCS to bring a new opportunity for economic development of Fujian.
Director of Political Affairs Wang Yanli, Director of Socio-Cultural Affairs Lee Hwajin From TCS attended the meeting.
