Seminar & Forum 13th Busan-Fukuoka Forum 2018-09-01
On September 1st 2018, TCS Secretary-General LEE Jong-Heon attended the 13th Busan-Fukuoka Forum held in Busan, ROK and delivered a key note speech on the theme “the Future of Trilateral Cooperation and Busan and Fukuoka’s Role. Esteemed participants included Mr. CHANG Jekuk, president of Dongseo University, Mr. OH Keo-Don, Mayor of Busan, and Mr. Soichiro TAKASHIMA, Mayor of Fukuoka.

During the keynote speech, SG Lee shared insight into trilateral cooperation among China, Japan, and Korea in the context relevant to Busan-Fukuoka bilateral cooperation. He emphasized the growing interconnectivity within the international community including the three countries and explained that trilateral cooperation has an important contribution to make to Northeast Asia region and beyond. 

The Busan-Fukuoka Forum was founded in September 2006 to serve as a platform for developing a cross-border community between civil societies in Busan and Fukuoka as well as to encourage the mutual prosperity and development of the two cities.
