Others TCS Delegation paid a courtesy visit to the Xinhua News Agency

On February 8, 2018, the 4th Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) Board paid a courtesy visit to the Xinhua News Agency and met with President Mr. CAI Mingzhao.
Mr. CAI welcomed the TCS delegation and briefly introduced Xinhua’s cooperation with Japanese media and Korean media such as the Northeast Asia Trilateral Forum (NATF) and the newly launched Japanese news service. He also expressed the importance to strengthen bilateral media exchanges and cooperation in promoting people understanding and friendly emotions among the three countries.
Secretary-General Lee Jong-heon acknowledged significance of the role of NATF and emphasized the media’s role in promoting the peace and prosperity in East Asia. Both sides agreed that journalists should stay objective and unbiased when reporting news among the three countries, and agreed to further strengthen coordination and cooperation in the field of media.
