Others TCS Delegation paid a courtesy visit the National Health and Family Planning Commission of China 2018-02-07

On February 7, 2018, the 4th Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) Board paid a courtesy visit to the National Health and Family Planning Commission in Beijing China.

During the meeting, Ms. ZHANG Yang, Director-General of the Department of International Cooperation, appreciated TCS’ support for the last Tripartite Health Ministers’ Meeting (THMM) held in Jinan in November, China, reviewed the experiences they have gained in the past decade and the challenges in the future such as the global health security issue, and suggested the three parties should explore more channels to share resources and cooperate on projects such as aging issue. 

Secretary-General Lee Jong-heon appreciated the continue support from the ministry, and shared his view on how to deepen TCS’ participation in the field of health such as organizing an open seminar on health and welfare. Both sides agreed the importance of increasing awareness of health issue and reaffirmed support for each other.
