Others Secretary-General YANG Houlan Paid a Farewell Call on Japanese Director-General Mr. KANASUGI Kenji

On August 22, 2017, Secretary-General YANG Houlan paid a farewell call on Mr. KANASUGI Kenji, Director-General of Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. SG YANG extended his sincere appreciation to the Ministry for its strong support for the trilateral cooperation and TCS, and briefly introduced the past achievements and challenges that the cooperation is facing. He addressed the three countries as major economies in the world have great potential for cooperation. SG YANG expressed hope that the Ministry would continue to give particular attention and support to the TCS as it did in the last, and closely cooperate with the other two countries in establishing the Trilateral Cooperation Fund (TCF) at the earliest.
Mr. KANASUGI spoke highly of TCS’ efforts in promoting trilateral cooperation under the leadership of SG YANG. He pointed out the ongoing difficulties in bilateral relations between the three countries, expressing a wish that strengthening feasible cooperation among the three would in turn foster a favorable environment for supportive political relationships. Mr. KANASUGI added that the Ministry would continue to support the TCS in all aspects and wished the next Trilateral Summit could be held at its earliest within this year.
